May: SPRA: Then and Now

The Sacramento Public Relations Association invites you to its bi-monthly Professional Speakers Series Luncheon.

WHO: Sacramento Public Relations Association (SPRA)

WHAT: SPRA invites you to this month’s Professional Speakers Series luncheon. Join us as we meet with three local public relations professionals who will share their perspectives as to how the public relations industry has changed over the years, specifically here in Sacramento, as well as a look into each panelist’s professional career alongside SPRA – then and now. Our speakers include:

  • Adam Gottlieb, acting communications director at California Energy Commission
  • Beth Hassett, executive director of WEAVE, Inc.
  • Jana Sanders Perry, public relations media specialist at Jelly Belly Candy Company

WHEN: Thursday, May 24, 2012; registration begins at 11:30 a.m.; luncheon begins at noon

WHERE: Chops Steak, Seafood & Bar, 1117 11th Street, Sacramento, CA 95814 (note: validated parking is available in the Capitol Garage between 10th and L Streets)

WHY: Whether you are two months or twenty years into your career, it’s interesting to look back at the beginning of one’s career and the path taken to get to where you are now. Join us as we take talk with three local, successful  public relations professionals (OK, they are really gurus) who will share insight on their chosen career paths, how public relations has changed since getting into the game, and how SPRA has grown throughout the years – then and now.

You must RSVP by noon on May 22nd in order to receive your meal selection. If space allows, drop-in attendees will be offered what the kitchen can provide.

PLEASE NOTE: SPRA accepts online credit card payments via PayPal for luncheons. Checks and cash are also accepted at the door, but PayPal is strongly recommended.
