…to its monthly Professional Speakers Series Luncheon. This month please join us as Peter Shankman, national social media expert and founder of Help a Reporter Out (HARO), discusses the state of the social media world in the marketing and PR industry.

WHEN: Thursday, February 25, 2010; registration begins at 11:30 a.m.

WHERE: Sofia Restaurant, 815 11th St., Sacramento, CA 95814 (note: Sofia has its own parking lot in addition to street parking)

WHY:Social media continues to become more important in the PR industry as we discover new ways to connect and engage with others on behalf of our clients and businesses. As we enter the new decade, we are now expected to be participating in these new forms of communication, as we continue to learn how to utilize and implement social media in our PR plans and strategies.

Come learn from the dynamic social media expert, Peter Shankman, as he shares his insight into the world of social media and how it will affect the PR and marketing industry in 2010 and into the new decade.
